About Me

About Me

Hi, I'm Dr.Manny, the person behind Chiro By Day !

As you can guess I am a Chiropractor and its been one of my biggest passions for the last few years. I am an advocate for healthy living and try my hardest to be a good example for living a healthy lifestyle not just for myself but also for my patients.

My biggest goal I want to achieve with this blog is to help inform people about Chiropractic and how it can help you. I am also a Certified Graston Technique® Therapist, RAPID NFR provider and provide multiple physical modalities such as Ultrasound, EMS, TENS and INF. I am also a member of the Manitoba Chiropractors Association and the Canadian Chiropractors Association. My favorite things to treat are neck and shoulder pain and soft tissue injuries and I have a strong passion for Womens Health.

Who am I?

A bit of background information about me...

I was born in Bhopal, India and moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada when I was 5 years old. I speak Hindi and Punjabi fluently. Fun fact, Manny is short for Manpreet which translates into Man (pronounced Maan) meaning heart and Preet meaning love.  For my education background (in case you are curious), I went to University of Manitoba where I pursued my Bachelors of Science Degree. After that I went down to Bloomington, Minnesota, USA to obtain my Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Northwestern Health Sciences University. I made a blog post about my Chiropractic Story and why I became a Chiropractor, if you are interested you should check it out!

I got married to my best friend, Gurdeep the summer of 2021 during the middle of COVID-19. If you have been in the office recently you probably know we had our first baby in February 2023 and our sweet pup Lucy is so excited to be promoted to a big sister.

Oh, and I can't forget about Lucy!

I rescued Lucy back in September of 2017 from Manitoba Pug Rescue and her unconditional love for life and others inspired me to get involved with her rescue to volunteer. Dogs have always had a special place in my heart and I try to volunteer with other rescues when I can. Lucy used to come into the office as my assistant about once a month on a weekend and my patients love seeing her! Her official title is Director of Greetings. She is a Corgi cross, and in October 2020 she was diagnosed with Cushing’s Disease (which is why I don’t bring her in as often). She continued to be the most happiest and loving person I know. And she took her new role as big sister very seriously! Unfortunately our sweet Lucy was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer on her spleen on Dec.1st,2023 and her health declined rapidly. Sadly our Lucy passed away Dec.4th, 2023 at the age of 11. We miss her and love her so much. We appreciate the outpouring of love and support we received during this difficult time. If you have the means it would mean a lot to us if you are able to adopt a dog from an animal shelter and give them a second chance at life. Our Lucy made our lives more wonderful by being in it.

I love hearing back from followers/subscribers/patients so feel free to connect here or DM on social media.

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my blog.

Cheers,

Dr.Manny
