What is the best sleeping position to avoid back pain?

I get this question all the time!

Sleep is the most important thing you need to help keep you healthy and functioning. Without sleep your body isn’t able to properly heal itself. Investing the time and routines to have better sleep should be a priority for everyone! Plus, it also helps keep you looking younger!

So… what is the best sleeping position? Sleeping on your back.

Now sleeping on your back doesn’t always work (and it’s not recommended if you are pregnant because it can affect the blood and oxygen supply to the baby).  Sometimes its ore comfortable to sleep on your side and that’s okay. I always recommend you sleep with a pillow between your knees if that is the case.

The worst sleeping position? Sleeping on your stomach. Not only are you hurting your back, you are also giving yourself neck pain and sometimes even shoulder pain. It might feel comfortable for a bit but it leads to more neck strain and pain down the line.
