As I near closer to the end of my pregnancy and waiting patiently for the arrival of our little one, I’ve been lucky to have researched and tried a few things to help me during the uncomfortable stages. A lot of people on Instagram and Tiktok wanted to see what I have been using so here is a series! I plan to add my favorite finds from Amazon in regards to babies and maybe a little bitย home finds (if people are interested). This is the quickest and easiest way for me to link everything. I will probably be updating this list as the months go on so feel free to refer back to it. If you have any questions feel free to connect with me here. PS: how cute is Lucy giving her new sibling a kiss during our Maternity shoot?
Pregnancy Pillow
I have been using this since the start of my second trimester and this was the BEST thing I ever bought from Amazon. As your baby grows, so does your belly and it starts to get uncomfortable finding a comfortable position to sleep. After about 20 weeks its recommended not to sleep on your back and to try sleeping on your left side to help with blood flow for the baby. This pillow is large enough to rest your belly on and to put between your legs to help you sleep on your side. It is very large but it feels like a bg hug. It also comes with a removable cover so you can wash it.
Maternity Belt
This was recommended to me from my physiotherapist. I started using this in the third trimester especially in the last month. This helped relieve pressure in my lower abdomen and pelvis area while I was working. It may seem like it’s nothing but it helps lift your belly off your pelvis to relieve some pressure there. You can also wash this too! I make sure to take breaks with it off as well.
Prenatal Vitamins
Prenatal vitamins are a MUST during your entire pregnancy helping ensure you have the right vitamins, nutrients and folic acid for your little baby to grow. I was able to take a regular store brand prenatal vitamin for the first 2 months of my pregnancy with no issues. After the 2nd month, things changed and morning sickness turned into all day sickness until the end of my second trimester. It took me a long time to find a prenatal vitamin I could keep down and this was the one I used. I didn’t get any aftertaste and it tastes good. I was able to buy this before at Superstore, Walmart and Shoppers Drug Mart but in August it became difficult to find in store. That’s when I started ordering this from Amazon.
